Domestic Violence
Bridge to safety is a volunteer organization of survivors that want to give back to society.
We are approaching the problems of domestic violence from many levels.
Our Mission "Now", is to:
Relate ~ Educate
- To be an Informational Resource for survivors for education, healing and hope, that focuses on the whole person.
- We are offering a forum and blog for survivors who want to join together that are dedicated to growing as a person and want to help others.
- We are creating the "Life Info Center" area of this website with tips and resources for daily living (This will expand as volunteers join with different expertise.
- We provide a place for survivors to share their stories, art and poetry (hosted by us and ad free). See the "Our Stories" link for more details.
- To bring awareness to the public concerning the number of missing and unidentified victims of domestic violence.
Our "Future" Mission is to:
Relate ~ Educate
- To become a multifaceted organization of volunteers, having many areas within our organization to assist survivors online and in local areas in a positive way.
- To assist shelters and staff with an information database of resources, that is password accessible.
- Provide educational speakers for law enforcement and schools, that will aid them in working with domestic violence survivors.
- To use our gifts and talents collectively to network within communities to help survivors and those who work to help them.
- To become involved with legislature and the laws that effect domestic violence.
- Volunteers are needed; do what you can and you may save a life.
